Trips and Powers
Here at Muschamp we feel that trips, workshops and experiences are essential for our children to take part in to enhance the curriculum and their cultural capital.
Every year groups has a variety of curriculum based trips and workshops planned each year.
Some of these include;
A farm visit
Stone Age workshops
Science domes
WW2 bus visits
RE speakers and visits to local places of worship.
Visits to Roman Palaces
Coastal Trips
Egyptian escape rooms
Any many, many more.
In addition we also plan whole school subject workshops for DT/ Art or Science.
We welcome authors into school to promote writing for all.
As well as curriculum based trips and experiences each year group plans events to develop the 7 different powers we have at school.
Some of these are;
- Wipe out and climbing wall challenges
- Crazy golf
- Visiting a theatre for Christmas
- Skateboard workshops
- Zorbing
- Creation station
- Trampoline challenges
- Circus skills
- Cooking workshops
- Team building picnic in the park days
- Becoming a graffiti artist!
Just to name a few!
PGL
Every year we take up to 90 children from years 4,5 and 6 to the Windmill Hill PGL site for a long weekend (Friday morning - Sunday afternoon) of fun activities such as; giant swings, raft building, trying the trapeze, rifle shooting and a camp fire evening.
