To Excellence and Beyond

Online safety and internet guardians

At Muschamp Primary School we take online safety very seriously and there are systems in place to ensure that your child is safe online in school.

National Online Safety

At Muschamp we are an accredited National Online Safety Certified Community. If you have yet to register please ask for information from the school office. Once you have registered, you will be able to access the “Online Safety for Parents and Carers’ course and National Online Safety’s Resources which includes 50+ online guides on the latest social media channels and games. This aims to help empower parents with the knowledge to protect their children from the dangers of the internet.

We encourage children who have online safety concerns to share them with a trusted adult or an eCadet, who will then pass the concern on to a relevant teacher. We also encourage parents and carers who have concerns to get in touch with school, so we can support you with these issues.

Miss Hassan meets with representatives from each year ( Years 3-6) to discuss and plan ecadet presentations and tasks for each class to do. Each class completes these tasks and the ecadets evaluate and plan further work. This means that all children are kept up to date with e safety on a regular basis.

E safety is also discussed during assemblies and class collective worship times during safer internet week and other times throughout the year.
